I am a resident of Queens Club Gardens and I have retired recently. I have played tennis consistently throughout my life stopping for approximately 5 /6 years due to a tennis elbow injury which followed a horse riding accident. I have resumed play over the past three years and this injury seems to have disappeared now presently and for the past few years is not impacting on my play. I enjoy playing mixed doubles, doubles of any combination and singles for more intense play. I have retired from my career as a full-time teacher of English Literature and Language at GCSE and A levels, and so I am now able to play tennis quite consistently and frequently. I try to play three or four times a week presently. And usually play in a mixed doubles group. I teach for one day a week, I have completed one year of an Masters Degree in literary studies exploring the modern period. I like to go to Italy as often as I can and I am learning to speak Italian, and try to play tennis there when ever I can.…
